Regulation

The Workshop will be conducted in English. Participants should be able to converse freely in English. Participants are strongly advised to seriously consider the language requirements before applying.

The Workshop is limited to filmmakers from the European Union Eastern Partnership countries which include Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine. The Workshop is aimed primarily at emerging screenwriters. However, film producers and directors that are actively engaged in the development of a screenplay are encouraged to apply.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

• applicants should have completed a university education in a related cinema discipline or have some practical experience in the film development and production;
• applicant must have a treatment (script at least the first draft) which they are seeking to improve and refine;
• if the applicant is not the scriptwriter, he/she must be working actively in the development of the story either as a producer or director;
• full length projects are accepted, the minimum length of the project shouldn’t exceed 70 minutes.

After registration at www.dabhub.com website applications must be submitted through the ONLINE SUBMISSION FORM located in the FILM WORKSHOPS section of www.dabhub.com website  and should be submitted no later than 24:00 1 April, 2013.
